Terms of Use

Last updated: April 15, 2026

1. Acceptance

By installing or using the Teams Tile Swapper Chrome extension (“the Extension”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please uninstall the Extension.

2. What the Extension Does

The Extension modifies how Microsoft Teams participant tiles are displayed in your browser. It replaces the default avatar shown when a participant's camera is off with a custom image, a random cat image, or a random dog image, depending on the mode you select. The Extension does not modify, record, or transmit any meeting content.

3. Your Responsibilities

4. Third-Party Services

When Cats or Dogs mode is selected, the Extension fetches images from third-party services (cataas.com and dog.ceo). These services are not controlled by the Extension's author. Image content and availability are subject to those services' own terms.

5. No Affiliation with Microsoft

This Extension is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft Corporation or the Microsoft Teams team. “Microsoft Teams” is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The author makes no guarantees that the Extension will be free of bugs, will work with every version of Microsoft Teams, or will be continuously available.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author of the Extension is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Extension.

The Extension cannot affect what other participants see. It changes only the visuals in your own browser.

8. Changes

The author may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Extension after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it from Chrome. All locally stored settings are removed at that point.
